Tom Hanks’ brother Jim Hanks does the voice for Woody in Toy Story spinoffs

Tom Hanks, of course, does the voice of Sheriff Woody in the Toy Story movies. But he’s a big star and can’t be expected to do the voice work for Woody in video games and TV shows, so Disney and Pixar have to get someone else to impersonate Hanks.

Enter another Hanks, Jim Hanks.

From the Pixar Wiki:

Hanks performed the voice of Woody in all of the Toy Story Treats interstitials, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins, and the Toy Story Animated Storybook[1], as well as various Toy Story video games and merchandise.

Here is Tom Hanks talking about it on The Graham Norton Show:

Update:

Turns out Jim Hanks got more work out of being Tom Hanks’ brother. From Wikipedia:

Turner & Hooch has been referred to in various films and television shows, including the ABC medical sitcom Scrubs, in which main characters J.D. and Turk modify shift schedules so that Doctors Turner and Hooch are teamed up as a surgical team in the episode “My Faith in Humanity” (Doctor Turner was played by Jim Hanks, Tom Hanks’ brother). They actually make a good team, and are disappointed when they have to disband.

Thanks to @nickfromsydney for the info. Oh, and it isn’t just Wikipedia that says it is Jim Hanks, IMDB confirms.
